The National Association of Credit Unions of Ukraine was created on June 9, 1994 by a union of credit unions to solve problems related to the development of the credit movement in Ukraine, to improve the socio-economic condition of all segments of the population, as currently the NAKSU includes 150 credit unions from all oblasts of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. They unite almost 500,000 citizens and have about 700 million hryvnias in their assets.
